Travelfli Update

I wanted to take a detour from our regularly scheduled travel news to give you a brief update on the status of our company — and more importantly, information on when you will be able to get your hands on our tools!

Introducing….
We were very fortunate to bring on two additional full-time team members this last month. They are both killing it and helping us move faster (the unofficial theme of Techstars).

Andy Geppelt is our design guru and is developing an extroardinary UI for our users. He has 12 years of experience in visual graphic design, print & Interactive media and branding. He worked as the Art Director with Saatchi & Saatchi (which is part of Publicis Group, the 4th largest communications groups in the world) and spent the last 5 years running his own business called BlueMonkeyDesigns, with a diverse client base including WalMart, Proctor & Gamble and FritoLay.

Justin Hancock is a Senior Engineer for Travelfli. He is an accomplished Software/Systems Engineer with a plethora of experience in web conferencing, telecommunications, and Java. He has worked at a variety of startups in the area, including as a Software Engineer at Raindance. His expertise with structured data transfer standards and toolsets combined with his familiarity with Java Server Faces (JSF) and web services integration make him a valuable asset to the team.

Announcing…
At the end of this week we will be releasing a private beta to our travel advisory board as well as select industry specialists and frequent flyers. Please email us at signup{at}travelfli.com if you would like to be part of the beta testing. Otherwise stay tuned for our official public launch this fall!

Presenting…
Travelfli is one of 10 companies presenting next week at Techstars Investor Day. The event is all day long and will take place at the Boulder Theater. Investors have been invited from all over the country to attend, and at last count there will be 150+. Each team gives a 10 minute presentation/demo with a 5-10 minute Q/A. Travelfli is trilled to be part of the event and will post details when they are available.

We’re working endlessly to develop ways for you to maximize the full potential of your frequent flyer miles. Thanks for your patience and support!
