Happy Happy! Joy Joy! Frontier is baaaack!
I know this is a couple of days late but my company has been in a bit of a cave due to the impending Techstars pitch day.
However, please don’t misjudge my tardy posting as a sign that I don’t care about this new development, because this is the BEST NEWS IN THE WORLD!!!! Frontier Airlines, my all-time favorite airline that operates out of Denver, Colorado, has been given another chance at life! Perseus, a Washington D.C.-based investment firm has agreed to raise $75 million for the beleaguered airline. They also have the option to purchase 79.9% of the reorganized Frontier for $100 million.

If I had $75 million dollars right now I would consider investing it in Frontier, particularly if I got warrants to buy most of the company moving forward. Despite Frontier’s recent hardships, they are one of the only airlines that prioritizes customer service and a good flying experience for their travelers. This mentality infiltrates every section of their business, from their phone reservations staff, to airports employees, to the pilots and stewards on the plane.
Brian Leitch, the Senior Managing Director of Perseus explains, “We are impressed by Frontier’s excellent employees and friendly customer service, as well as the numerous product characteristics that distinguish Frontier from its competitors. Industry data supports our conclusion that when given a choice, the majority of coach travelers prefer Frontier over the competitive options.”
Agreed. Go Frontier!
