Digging The Demos

Thursday night was the first demo night of the summer for Techstars. Each team made a 7 minute pitch followed by a 5 minute Q&A. I was incredibly impressed with all of the demos as well as the progress each team has made with their product or service. Rather than analyze each demo, I want to provide a quick list of the BEST demos for several specific categories. Great job, everybody! We rocked.
Demo #1 Besties
- Best Laugh: BuyPlayWin
- Best Metric: Cost Per Dot (CPD) by Devver
- Best Prop: “Don’t Make Me Pitch, Bro” by TravelFli
- Best Impersonation: Jason F**king Mendelson by Ignighter
- Best Act: Highway Girl
- Best Food: Foodzie….duh
- Best Product: FluxCapacity Time Travel
The program has officially passed the 30 day mark and Andrew Hyde created an awesome slideshow that embodies all of the activity, excitement, and work that has gone into the first phase of Techstars….from meeting all of the amazing people from Google, Amazon, Yahoo and Microsoft, to engaging mentors, to getting to know each other over a game of ping pong or a Rock Band show….it’s been incredible every step of the way and we are so thankful to be part of such an amazing program.
